Expressions of Interest – GEGAC Graphic Designs

GEGAC is looking to commission a local graphic artist to produce a range of digital designs for us to use across all GEGAC platforms, including our website and social media, as well as flyers, posters and brochures.

Our goal is to make all of our visual materials unmistakably by and for the Aboriginal people of this community.

We also want our visual presence to be unique, eye-catching and distinctive.

The designs should reflect and express the culture of the GunaiKurnai people, our country, our totems, and our community.

In coordination with GEGAC, the chosen artist will be required to produce 10 digital vector designs of various orientations and themes.

The selected artist will be paid $10,000 for all rights to the artwork and all digital artwork files.

To apply, complete the form at the bottom of this page.

Who can apply?

To be considered, artists must be of GunaiKurnai descent, or be able to demonstrate a strong connection to the local Aboriginal community.

The selection process

Submissions will be assessed by a panel of GEGAC staff, Elders and members of the Community Advisory Committee.

The assessment will consider:

  • the quality and creativity of submitted work examples; and
  • previous experience with similar projects;

Timeline

The deadline for submissions has been extended to Friday, March 7.

GEGAC will aim to select the successful artist by the end of March.

Work with the artist will commence in April, with an expected date of completion of all artworks in June.
