Earlier this year, GEGAC referred a data breach matter to Victoria Police. Victoria Police investigated this matter. Following that investigation, Victoria Police have established that an offence was committed and have cautioned a Bairnsdale resident in relation to the crime of unauthorised access to restricted data.
GEGAC will not be making any further public comment regarding this matter.
